Day 6 (May 29th in Seoul)

Today was a busy day too.  We had Chelsi's foster family visit, which sort of fell through.  We found Holt and then Esther brought us to a room and told us that Chelsi's foster mother was unable to come due to a family reasons.  Her sister, who also fosters, came in her place.  She was very nice and looked much like Chelsi's foster mother.  She brought gifts for Chelsi, which Chelsi loved.  But, Chelsi was being shy, so she didn't talk much.  I'm not sure if she's afraid of saying something wrong?  She is fine as soon as we leave.  She was much like that 4 years ago.  We gave her the gifts for Mrs. Jun and talked about what kind of baby Chelsi was.  That she had a good adjustment and was very quiet.  They asked about Jaemin's adjustment.  She said she could tell he had a hart adjustment by the way he was at the visit.  The little boy she fosters transferred to her care from another family and he adjusted much the same as Jaemin, so she understood how hard it was and how hard it just is on the babies.

It is always so nice to talk to the foster families.  I knew Jaemin's foster family had my blog, so I gave it to Mrs. Jun's sister as well.  She said she liked the pictures we sent. Esther told me she liked how religious we were about sending pictures to the files for family and foster mothers to see.  She said that was good and got them out to show Chelsi.  She told Chelsi her file is very thick because I send things.  I don't think Chelsi quite understood that that was a very good thing, just in case her birth family checks.  They will always be able to see her grow and know she is okay.

Before the visit, we went to the reception center to hold the babies.  There were only 3 younger babies and 1 older little boy....all were boys though.  Another little boy came in with his foster mother to play, but he has not been assigned to a family yet.  Esther says they pray he finds one.  He has severe cleft palate and has a feeding tube to help.  He's 7 months old, but is strong and crawls quite well.....he's very small.  Another little boy in the RC had just had surgery for bilateral cleft lip/palate and club foot.  He seemed to be doing well too.  He was pretty young....maybe 3 months or so.  Then there were 2 bigger boys about 5-7 months and one little boy that was walking.  He was funny.  He got into everything!  They were all so cute!

This little guy needs a good family.

This is the other special little guy.
After our visit to Holt we went to the hotel and rested for an hour.  Then, we left to meet Yunjin at a subway exit in Insadong so we could have lunch and shop a little.  It was so nice to see her after almost 10 years.  She treated us to lunch, which was SO good and so sweet.  The restaurant probably had some of the best food we've had so far.  And we had octopus again for Cole.  Very good bulgogi.  We walked around Insadong a bit.  Insadong is more artsy.  It wasn't really graffiti on the walls, but more considered art.  Chase liked it and took pictures of it all.  We finally found some treasures too.  I got another piece of pottery and a painting.  The artist wrote family거족 on it for us and stamped happiness underneath.  I'm going to frame it for my living room.  I may get something for the bedroom too?  After our feast and shopping we stopped for some Dunkin Donuts for Chase.  It's been calling his name all week.  And back for our nightly swim!

This rose with it's stem was a couple of stories high through the stairwell.

This was looking over one of the top floors down to the roof of another store.  They were growing flowers!

Ah, Yunjin and Chelsi and Kaelin.  I think the girls took to her as much as she took to them.  Last time we saw her Kaelin was just a baby.
